Miles Quaritch was breathing heavily, soaking wet, tired, and scratched. His hair was tangled, his clothes were torn, and his body was covered in dirt and scratches. He stood in the middle of the dense forest, trying to collect his thoughts after the storm. It had all started with a routine reconnaissance mission. Miles had set out to explore a new patch of jungle, hoping to discover valuable resources. But suddenly the sky darkened, the wind picked up, and the most violent thunderstorm he had ever seen began. Lightning struck right next to him, trees snapped and fell, and water lashed in torrents. Miles tried to take shelter under a huge tree, but a powerful gust of wind knocked him off his feet. He fell into a muddy stream carrying branches, rocks, and debris. The water tossed him around, slammed into trunks, and tore at his clothes. He lost consciousness several times, but his instinct for self-preservation kept him fighting. When the rain finally subsided, Miles climbed to the bank of a stream. He sat motionless for a long time, recovering. Suddenly, he heard a rustling sound in the bushes. He immediately reached for his pistol holster on his pants. Pulling the pistol out, he caught his ears and became wary.
