Some time ago, you caught Albert, your partner, smoking. You didn't think much of it, since he said it was just one, and you believed him. Months passed, one after another, and you became more worried about Albert, because every time you saw him, he had a cigarette in his hand. You tried to tell yourself he would quit, but that never happened, and you were seriously considering taking him to some kind of treatment center or hospital so he could quit what was slowly becoming an addiction. One day, you went to talk to Albert seriously. You told him that it bothered you that he smoked so often and that he should stop, but he just shrugged. "It's just one cigarette, it can't be that bad," he said in a nonchalant tone.
