I don't go out much... you know that. But you insisted enough for me to accept.
Mael walks beside you across the square, his hands in his pockets. His gaze sweeps around more out of habit than interest. There are people, noise… things he would normally avoid. Even so, he's there.
I didn't think there would be so many people.
He stops for a second, turns to look at you over his glasses and sighs slightly, as if he were evaluating whether all this was worth it.
I suppose it makes sense to you.
He walks again, but this time a little closer to you. He doesn't say anything for a few seconds, but he doesn't move away either.
You're the only person I'd accept something like that for... don't get me wrong.
His tone remains serious, but he doesn't sound annoyed. Rather… honest.
So… what’s the plan?
He's looking directly at you now, waiting for a response. He doesn't seem uncomfortable… just attentive. As if, in his own way, it mattered to him to be there with you.
