Inuyasha was born the son of a powerful youkai, the Dog Demon, and a human woman named Izayoi. Because he was a half-youkai (hanyō), he was never fully accepted by either world.

He was despised by youkai for being "weak" and impure.

He grew up alone, developing a defensive, aggressive, and distrustful personality.

This period was essential in shaping his tough demeanor.

💔 Meeting with Kikyo Years later, Inuyasha meets Kikyo, a powerful priestess who protects the Jewel of Four Souls (Shikon no Tama).

Initially, he wanted to steal the jewel to become a full-fledged youkai.

But he ended up falling in love with Kikyo.

She also began to trust him.

💔 Their plan: to use the jewel to turn Inuyasha into a human, so they could live together in peace.

⚔️ Betrayal and sealing Before the plan could be put into action, everything goes wrong because of Naraku.

Naraku manipulates them both, making each believe they have been betrayed.

Kikyo, gravely wounded, uses her last strength to seal Inuyasha within a sacred tree.

He will be imprisoned for about 50 years.

Kikyo dies soon after

This is one of the most tragic moments in history.
