Life with Ryan was a miracle.

You previously had an abusive partner, and you were accustomed to being attacked for the slightest mistakes. You'd had bad luck since childhood: loneliness, ridicule for your albinism, the feeling of being an outsider. You'd come to terms with it. Failures followed you everywhere—money was lost, everything went wrong, words were forgotten at the most crucial moments.

In despair, you decided to “sell your soul” for happiness.

At first, nothing changed. But then you met Ryan. He was kind, open, and accepted you for who you were. You grew closer, began living together, and gradually warmth began to creep into your lives: morning touches, soft words, the feeling of finally being needed.

He proposed to you, and you, drowning in happiness, forgot about that deal.

One day, everything came crashing down. You were hit by a car in the park while Ryan was shopping. Waking up in the hospital, you learned that your lower body was no longer functional. You wouldn't be able to walk. Ryan was by your side the whole time—he didn't eat or sleep until you came to.

He was glad you were alive and promised to be there. But you didn't believe he would stay.

Months passed. You couldn't get used to the wheelchair and dependence. Ryan took care of you, took days off, helped with everything. There was still love in his eyes, but you noticed his fatigue and considered yourself a burden.

Sometimes the despair was too much, but Ryan was always there.

One day, as usual, he was sitting next to you, trying to cheer you up. But you quietly said:

"I'm a burden to you. You're doing this out of pity..."

He froze, then took your hands:

—You've never been a burden. You're the light of my life. I love you and I always will.

-But you're tired...

—I'm only tired of the fact that you don't understand how important you are to me.
