Alessandro XVIII [Tirinty blood]

Seth Nightlord, born Seth Knightroad and also known as Crusnik 03, is the youngest of the Crusniks. Seth appears to be a cheerful young girl, but it is actually a "cutesy" facade. Like her brothers, she is capable of being quite fearsome, especially when the well-being of her "children" is in question.

At the end of the Empress of the Night Arc, Seth is revealed to be Empress Augusta Vradica of the New Human Empire. Despite having the body of a child, she is over nine-hundred years old and she does not wish to declare war on the Vatican territories due to her brother's support of the humansthe anime, Seth appears as a child (In the manga, Seth appears to be about the same age as Esther Blanchett). The novels describe Seth as a "young teenager, maybe three years younger than Esther."[1] In all three versions, Seth is portrayed with short black hair and emerald green eyes.

She first appears as a tea-seller wearing a red-and-white dress. In the novel she is first seen wearing ash-colored (slave class) clothes while passing as a human teaseller. She is also later seen in medical student uniform, a black Empire citizen uniform and variations of her old UNASF uniform in flashbacks.

While in her role as Augusta Vradica, Seth usually wears a short green dress, a color only permitted by the Empress, adorned with several gold and red pieces. She also wears white, ruffled shorts, white boots, and a large green hat. In both the manga and light novels she has a very diverse wardrobe, and is seen wearing several very detailed dresses and also different hats.[2] In Krusnik form, she gains a pair of fangs, her nails grow longer, and her hair hovers above her head like with other Krusniks. Unlike the other Krusniks however, Seth does not have angelic wings in her form; instead, she has dragonfly-like wings in the novels, and butterfly wings in the manga.

Esther Blanchett is one of the main protagonists of Trinity Blood. She is introduced as a novice nun/rebel who meets Abel Nightroad in Istvan and becomes The Lady Saint after the Mark of a Lady Saint/Imitation Star Arc.Esther is a 17 year old fair-skinned girl with long red hair (her hair is noticeably shorter in the anime than her manga and novel counterparts) that has bangs hanging on either side, "lapis lazuli" blue eyes akin to Albion nobility [1] and she has a star-shaped birthmark on the right-side of her torso that is similar to Mary Spencer's birthmark (the manga shows it on the left side in Vol.16 Ch 59).

Esther wears a blue novice nun robes until she becomes a full nun, where she wears Vatican's nun habit consisting of white robes with a blue bias trim. Her personal rosary has the House of Windsor's coat of arms. During the series, she also wears an Empire citizens' clothes as she tries to sneak into The New Human Empire with Abel Nightroad and Ion Fortuna. As Queen of Albion, Esther is shown wearing elaborate high-collared gowns and layered pearl necklaces.

Esther is seen wielding mostly fire arms: a crossbow in the first arc, and a sawed-off shotgun hidden on her leg thereafter.

Abel Nightroad, also known as Crusnik 02 and born Abel Knightlord, is the main protagonist in the series. He is a member of the AX division of the Vatican Ministry of Holy Affairs who is referred to by his codename, "Crusnik" as an agent of the AX.

Originally, Abel hated humans because of their role in the creation and experimentation of the four test tube babies for the Red Mars Project, but he ultimately changed his mind after the death of Lilith Sahl.Abel is a handsome young man with long silvery hair that is tied up by a black ribbon with long hair strands hanging on either side, blue-gray eyes and he wears small, gray, round glasses with a double bridge (it is mentioned he has silver hair (sometimes blonde-silver), he appears to be thirty years old, he is six feet tall and he weighs one hundred forty-three pounds in the novels).

In Abel's Krusnik form, his eyes turn red and a pair of fangs poke between his lips which turn black. He also has a pair of black wings and a red scythe created from his blood: which is stronger than steel and harder than diamond. The wings allow him to fly in the sky and have the ability to generate bio-electric fields.

Abel wears a black priest robe with embroidered crosses, white gloves and he has two black belts around his hips under the coat.

Francesco di Medici, Duke of Florence and Tuscany, is the secretary of the Ministry of Vatican Papal Doctrine, head of the Department of Inquisition, a leading member of the College of Cardinals and older half-brother of the young Pope Alessandro XVIII.

As the illegitimate son of Pope Gregory XXX and a lower-class knight's wife, he could not be elected pope, and harbors bitterness over it. Francesco was appointed head of the Doctrine branch in March 3055 when he was twenty-six years old, after the death of the former Pope.

Cardinal di Medici frequently uses intimidation and loud vocal displays to pressure his younger brother to agree with him. His strong hatred of vampires causes him to constantly clash with Cardinal Caterina Sforza (Francesco's half-sister) in her pursuits for negotiation and diplomacy.

Francesco prefers violence and force as opposed to compromise. Believing his actions are are done "in the name of God" (though in reality it is own of his own gain and desires), Cardinal di Medici does not hesitate to make decisions that would result in the death of innocent and righteous people, including his own brother (most likely as a means to become pope) seeing that the afterlife excuses this. His arcana in Thores's tarot cards is The Emperor. He has brown hair and wears red priestly robes.

Caterina is a beautiful woman of grace and beauty with long tight-curled blond hair that has very long bangs swept to the left, blue eyes, pink lipstick and she is usually seen with a monocle over her right eye or holding a scepter.

She is seen wearing richly-embroidered red and white cardinal robes. When she was younger, her dress was similar to a Vatican nun's.Cardinal Caterina Sforza, Duchess of Milan, is the leader and founder of the Arcanum Cella Ex Dono Dei of the Vatican and the half-sister of Pope Alessandro XVIII and to Cardinal Francesco di Medici.

Although part of the Vatican, an organization that is against the idea of co-existence with vampires, Caterina is willing to secretly collaborate with Methuselah Empire to bring down the Rosencreuz Orden, even if discovery of her deeds would result in her execution. Her actions have placed her in a very unstable political position ("Vixen of Milan"), as well as put her at constant odds with Cardinal Francesco di Medici, who does not believe in diplomacy and holds no regard for the Pope.

Lady Caterina is willing to die to protect Pope Alessandro XVIII (Caterina's brother), whom she loves dearly and her main motivation in the series is revenge on the Orden.

Her increasingly Machiavellian nature is not seen in the anime, as were not her unrequited romantic feelings for Abel Nightroad and her hatred for Esther Blanchett.

is a male Terran and the 399th Pope (Bishop of Rome) of the Catholic Church, the son of the late Pope Gregorio XXX and a woman from one of Rome's oldest aristocratic families. After his father's death in 3055 AD, Alessandro defeated his uncle, Alfonso d'Este, Archbishop of Cologne, with the support of Cardinals Francesco di Medici and Caterina Sforza (half-siblings of Alessandro XVIII). However, it was not Alessandro's choice to succeed his father.Alessandro XVIII is nervous and easily frightened. Although he lacks conviction and confidence, he has a strong sense of kindness and gentleness. He is highly ligyrophobic and cannot handle yelling, especially when it is directed at him.

As Pope, Alessandro XVIII is the official head of state of the Vatican Domain, the sovereign territory of the Catholic Church. Due to his youth and inexperience, he was a de facto figurehead during the early years of his papacy. As such, he was often caught in the middle of various disputes between his half-siblings, who often bickered in order to manipulate the pope into supporting their respective agendas. The combination of his shy nature and gullibility made him virtually incapable of making decisions without first consulting his half-siblings.Alessandro is a very young man with brown hair and eyes. He is usually seen wearing the white embroidered papal robes. In the anime, his robes have a blue bias.

In the manga, he looks slightly younger than his novel and anime counterparts. His hair is also much closer to white than brown.Alessandro's manga portrait features a white lamb, the sun and sunflowers. The white lamb symbolizes innocence and the Lamb of God, while the sun and sunflowers represent unwavering faith. His manga cover portrait shows him with white roses, symbolic of his purity. His arcana in Thore's tarot cards is The Sun.
