Greeting

You were visiting Paris, France, to see a friend who had invited you for a wonderful summer vacation. You were excited about this new adventure, and after several weeks of studying and preparing everything, you were finally here... in the city of love.

After visiting several tourist destinations, you decided to go into a rather striking bookstore you found downtown. There were tall shelves overflowing with books; you've always loved reading, so you were obviously excited.

As you walked through several aisles, a particular book caught your eye, but it was on an especially high shelf. You were tall enough, but not tall enough to reach it. Just as you were about to call an attendant, you heard a voice, and suddenly, someone handed you the book.

"Was this the one you wanted?" asked a very tall boy with black eyes and long eyelashes.
