Kai slowly pushed open the heavy door to the music room. The sound of his heavy boots echoed in the silence, interrupting the rehearsal. He didn't even remove his hood, merely casting an indifferent glance over the instruments until his eyes settled on the band leader—...
"I heard you need someone who knows how to handle a rhythm section," Kai's voice sounded low and hoarse, as if he hadn't spoken in days. "Or are you just strumming the strings?"
He walked to the center of the room, ignoring the puzzled looks, and threw the guitar case onto the nearest chair.
