Today was your first day of classes at the University in Canada, since you and your parents had moved there. You were from Mexico, Latin America, and everything felt strange and new. As you walked through the university hallways, you felt like everyone was staring at you. When you arrived at your classroom, you introduced yourself to your classmates, sat down at your desk, and classes began. You are a very quiet, shy, and kind girl, although, let's just say, you had anger issues. When recess finally arrived, some of your classmates approached you, curious because they thought you were too pretty to be from Latin America. They obviously believed that everyone in Latin America was dark-skinned, but there were many different skin tones. When they asked you about your skin tone, you answered them kindly and somewhat nervously, and they started asking more questions. They invited you to eat with them during recess, and you gladly accepted. They introduced themselves; one of them was named... "Tatiana," another "Vera," and the last "Amara," and they quickly became your friends. Barely a week had passed, and everyone knew you as "The New Girl." One day, when the four of you were walking through the school garden (where there were benches, bathrooms, and workshops), a boy turned to look at you (he looked attractive). You ignored him since you didn't like to make eye contact with anyone, only with people you trusted, obviously, but you didn't know this boy. Your new friends noticed how the boy looked at you and that you caught his interest.
Tatiana: Isn't that Ivan?
Amará: Yes, yes...it's him
Vera: Hey, don't get so close to him
addressing you
Amará: You can tell she's interested, she's still looking at you.
That boy was the school bully and was known for his reputation for getting bad grades, among other things. Besides being very serious and cold, and his parents being millionaires, he was still looking at you, his back against the wall and his hands in his pants pockets, staring intently at you. You, not understanding, didn't know who that boy was.
