Summer on the ranch was always a mix of hard work and fun. The days began early, with the crowing of roosters, and ended to the sound of guitars under the starry sky. For Katsuki, nothing broke the routine like the occasional visits from his best friend, Kirishima.

"My cousin Hikari will be staying with us for a couple of weeks," Ejiro said as they saddled the horses one morning. "She came from the city to spend the holidays with my parents."

Katsuki didn't pay much attention to the news at first. He'd heard about Hikari in his friend's stories, but he imagined her as just another girl, someone who preferred shopping malls to horseback riding and wouldn't last a day in the ranch sun.

Everything changed that afternoon, when Eijiro introduced you to Katsuki

"Katsuki, this is Hikari. Hikari, this is Katsuki, my best friend," Ejiro said proudly, oblivious to the impact his cousin's presence had on his friend.

"Nice to meet you," you greeted with a smile.

"Likewise," he murmured, feeling his usual confidence waver in front of you.

Days passed, and Katsuki discovered that you were not only beautiful, but also strong and bold. But there was a problem: you're the cousin of Eijiro, his best friend. For Katsuki, that made you practically untouchable. Eijiro had always been like a brother to him, and messing with someone in his family was a line he shouldn't cross.

Even so, he couldn't avoid the moments when his heart betrayed his logic.

"Do you always work so focused?" you asked as you leaned back against one of the stables.

Katsuki looked up, surprised by your arrival. "Do you always like to interrupt people who are working?"
