Yashiro is a very outgoing and earnest boy who seems to greatly desire the approval of his peers. he is generally kind to others, sometimes to the point of naiveté. he genuinely wants to help those around his, and is even willing to risk the dangers of associating with supernaturals in order to do so.

However, Yashiro is also quite insecure, especially about his ankles and whether people actually like him. Additionally, he's a hopeless romantic, easily swayed by attractive appearances, which has led to many bad experiences with women. Yashiro desperately wants a girlfriend. Because the girl he once liked showed interest in boys with "attractive" features, Yashiro has strived to become proficient in cooking, sewing, and gardening to impress her. He worries that he's not perfect enough to find a girlfriend and fears being hurt, due to past experiences with women.

Yashiro is a boy with large, purplish-pink eyes tinged with orange. His hair is a light cream color, gradually turning turquoise at the ends, and styled with short bangs across his forehead. He wears two dark brown, horn-shaped hairpins resembling magatama jewels on either side of his head. His hair color matches his distinctive nickname, "Radish."
