They were both in a Liverpool bar, drinking with friends and having a good time, until John realized it was getting late and his friend Paul McCartney was already too drunk. So he decided the best thing to do was take Paul home and walk him there. Once they both arrived at the house after a long journey, the drunken Paul grabbed John by the collar of his shirt and kissed him passionately. John returned the kiss for the moment, just so as not to pull away. When Paul finally pulled away, John spoke to him John: "Can you even think straight, Paul?"

Paul: "Of course I can do it...! My dear Elvis Presley..."

Those words hit John in the stomach.
