-He can be considered, in a way, as Fox's evil older brother

-Although he is bad, he has sometimes shown some empathy but he doesn't let it out much.

Wolf has met Fox's father, which is why his age is such a big conflict. In the Nintendo Power comics, during the Star Fox 64 era, it's stated that he was 19 years old.

Sauria Crisis: Wolf does not appear in Star Fox Adventures, because he exiles himself to Sargasso's Lair.

Apoid Invasion: Years after Andross's death, during the events of Sauria's dire situation, the Star Fox team infiltrated Wolf's lair, known as Sargasso's Lair, in their search for Pigma Dengar. Wolf had expelled Pigma from his team due to his greedy and distrustful nature, and ordered his soldiers to shoot Pigma if he approached their hideout.

The Aparoid invasion ruined Wolf's plans to take down Fox, forcing him to abandon his personal vendetta and team up with his enemy in order to survive. When the Aparoids ambushed Fox atop a building in Corneria City, Wolf rescued him, but denied doing so, claiming Fox jumped onto the wing of his ship at the worst possible moment. Fox had to jump onto the wing of his Wolfen to escape danger. He later admits to saving Fox, proclaiming that his real reason was so he could later finish him off. Wolf also advised Fox after a battle against General Pepper's infected ship that if he ever had to make a difficult decision, he would say, "Let me give you some advice... Don't hesitate, when the time comes, act!" It could be argued that during the Aparoid invasion, he was known as an anti-hero rather than a villain.

Later, they secretly followed Star Fox to the Aparoid race's home planet, only revealing their presence as the surviving members of Star Fox traveled through the planetary tunnels.

In the final battle against the Aparoid Queen, Wolf and his team sacrificed themselves, creating a distraction for several Aparoids long enough for Fox to halt the invasion for good. His previous advice has also proven to be...

History 2

Not much is known about Wolf O'Donnell's early life, though it could be said that he used to lead a band of space pirates, who were presumably responsible for leaving behind the wreckage of spaceships after clashing with a Cornerian Army fleet in Sector Z. It is also known that Wolf was wanted by the Cornerian Army for crimes such as armed robbery and treason. Before the Lylat Wars, the Star Fox and Star Wolf teams shared a long and bitter history. It is believed that Wolf was somehow involved in the apparent death of James McCloud, Fox's father. After Andross's exile to Venom, he offered Wolf money to lead a team of mercenaries against Fox and his team. Pigma Dengar and Andrew Oikonny (Andross's nephew) were hired by Wolf, and he mysteriously encountered Leon Powalski in a rough bar on Venom and recruited him to work for his team. Wolf sought to destroy Star Fox and protect Andross, so they could be feared throughout the galaxy. When the Star Wolf team was hired by Andross, Wolf wanted nothing more than to carry out Andross's orders and prove himself as good as, or even better than, Fox McCloud.

Personality

Wolf is a highly respectful pilot who can identify his enemy's abilities and even, in some cases, praise them. He was hired by Andross, along with the rest of his team, with the mission to destroy Star Fox. Wolf is characterized as an opportunistic, vile, foolish, cruel, brutal, ruthless, and tenacious character, possessing a selfish and rebellious attitude toward any kind of authority. He demands the same respect from his comrades, from whom he expects the same values. Wolf does not tolerate betrayal or greed lightly, as demonstrated by his expulsion of Pigma from Star Wolf due to his avarice and generally unreliable nature, even ordering his men to expel Pigma if he ever approached their territory again.

Wolf is a mercenary whose interests revolve around both his equipment and his pay. He has proven to be competitive with his rival Fox, always striving to prove that he is equal to or better than him. On the other hand, he has also shown a noble side, which he demonstrated when he saved Fox, for whom he has respect and from whom he also seeks forgiveness from Pigma Dengar. These are recognizable traits of an anti-hero, making him willing to help anyone for the sake of heroism or justice.

His criminal career has earned him a high price on his head.

Outfit

His outfit changes across the games, so it's not fixed. The main color of his suit is black, but it can have variations. In Star Fox 64/3D Wolf, he wore a black suit with a red jacket and an eye patch. In Assault and Command, he wears an electric blue vest, a suit consisting of black knee pads, boots, spiked shoulder pads, and colored gloves, and finally, a light blue visor. In Star Fox Zero, he has a black jacket with light blue padding and spikes on the shoulders.

Appearance

Wolf is an anthropomorphic wolf with a gray coat and a white tuft of fur on his head. His eyes are purple (red in Star Fox Zero), with a black rim around them. Like Falco, he is quite tall, averaging around 1.87 meters in height. Wolf also wears an eyepatch over his left eye, though its design changes throughout the games. In Star Fox 64, it resembled a pirate's eyepatch. In Star Fox: Assault, however, it becomes something that appears to be made of a harder material, and the visor is blue. It is unknown whether this is because he is missing an eye or to enhance his visual abilities during combat in the Wolfen. He also has a lean and muscular physique.

History

Wolf'o'Donnell is the leader of Star Wolf and Fox's main nemesis. Alongside Fox and his team, Wolf is also known as Star Wolf.

He was initially hired by Andross during the Lylat Wars to eliminate the Star Fox team, but ultimately failed. During the years between the end of the war and the Aparoid Invasion, he hid in an illegal hideout called Sargasso's Lair, where he recruited various criminals from across the Lylat System who proudly called him Lord O'Donnell. His motives changed when he decided to go to Corneria to rescue Fox and bring down the Aparoids.
