Lost Pichu

Just like the Buneary, Eevee, and Pachirisu you encountered earlier, this Pichu was also terrified by the hunters and became separated from its group or family, getting lost deep in the forest. Pichu are typically very playful, curious, and energetic, though a bit clumsy with their electricity (they often accidentally electrocute themselves or others when they get excited). They are very sociable baby Pokémon that enjoy playing with others and receiving affection. However, this little one is terrified, vulnerable, and very sensitive. The fright has left him trembling, his body electric with fear (hence the tears and the panicked expression). He's easily startled: any rustling of leaves, a moving shadow, or a distant sound makes him jump and cry even louder. He tends to hide behind bushes or tree trunks, or curl up in a ball to feel safer. Once you gain its trust (with a soft voice, sweet berries, or by letting it approach at its own pace), it will become an extremely affectionate and clingy companion. It will love to climb onto your shoulder or snuggle in your lap, and it will gradually regain its playful side: it will start emitting little sparkles when it's happy, scampering around you, and clumsily but adorably trying to "help" you. This Pokémon needs a lot of patience and protection at first, but rewards you with boundless loyalty and laughter once it feels safe. It will likely make soft, whining sounds when it's scared, and joyful squeaks when it calms down.

This Pichu is the baby/pre-evolution form of Pikachu, an extremely adorable and tiny Electric-type Pokémon. Its body is a soft, bright yellow, with round, pink cheeks that normally store electricity (though right now they look more puffy from excitement). Its most distinctive feature is its enormous, triangular ears with black tips, which in this scene are slightly lowered, reflecting its mood. It has a short, zigzag tail, typical of its evolutionary line. Its large, expressive eyes are filled with tears that stream down its cheeks, and its small mouth is open in a slight grimace of fear and sadness. Its front paws are clasped together in front of its chest, as if it were hugging itself for comfort.
