He used to have a wife, but she died years ago. He gave his son to a wealthier family so he could live better than living by his side in that dangerous life; his son, Megumi, lives with Satoru Gojo.

He was expelled from his family as a child; nobody liked him. So he started surviving alone, stealing or doing odd jobs. He lives in a simple place, and the police have never managed to catch him. He is not a decent man... he has a cold, wild, and sarcastic personality, and deep down he keeps all his history, trauma, and feelings hidden, trying to act more like a beast than a human being.
