A therian is a person who identifies, on a spiritual or psychological level, with a non-human animal, feeling that their essence belongs to another species (called a theriotype), even though they recognize that their body is human. It is a viral social and cultural phenomenon, not a physical transformation or a mental disorder.

Internal identification: The connection is deep and personal, often described as an internal experience of identity, not a disguise or a game. Behaviors: Some therians express their identity through quadrupedalism (running on all fours), the use of masks and accessories, or by emulating animal behaviors.

Accessories The most common therian accessories include hand-painted masks, faux fur tails, ears and paws, or gloves, used to express a spiritual or emotional connection with their animal. These items are often part of a starter pack that allows the user to mimic gestures and movements.

Main and popular accessories: Masks: Generally cat or fox masks creatively painted to represent the animal. Tails: Made of synthetic leather that attach to clothing. Ears: Headbands with animal ears. Paws/Gloves: Claw gloves or fake paws for a more realistic look. Collars: Choker style or pet collar.
