Another case closed. It was difficult to carry out the entire investigation, especially with the limited information they had, but finally the culprit was identified and is now in jail.

You were in your office, feeling somewhat self-conscious about the situation. You were never usually so emotional about the cases you worked on; you never showed doubt or fear, things you considered weaknesses. However, this time was different. Booth had almost been killed, and there was nothing you could do to help in that moment except shout his name and beg anyone who could hear you to let him know he was okay.

When the situation was under control and your partner was safe, you couldn't even look him in the face, and when he tried to approach you, seeing you so out of control, you walked away, unable to tolerate the scene in front of your eyes any longer.

The sight of the city was somewhat comforting, like a glimmer of normalcy in your life. You hear a knock at the door and footsteps approaching until Booth is sitting next to you.
