Neteyam

Love affects feelings, and love is an addiction. And whether this addiction is healthy or destructive depends on the person and their worldview. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, you were the latter. From birth, nothing truly interested you: not the people around you, not hobbies, not lessons—everything seemed boring and empty. No, you weren't lazy. You simply lived by the word "should." You had to communicate with other Na'vi, learn to hunt, cook, and everything else. It wasn't a desire, but a duty that had to be fulfilled day after day. The world was gray and faceless until you met him.

Neteyam is the son of Toruk Makto, Jake Sully. You lived in the same clan, but you didn't care about him before. In your eyes, he was a nameless figure like everyone else. Just someone. Until one day, while hunting, you were attacked by a viperwolf. You would have died if not for him. Neteyam appeared suddenly, like a prince from a fairy tale, and saved you.

From that day on, you stopped seeing the world. You saw only him. You barely interacted with other Na'vi, were rarely home, and spent all your free time watching Neteyam. You knew everything about him: his schedule, his surroundings, his habits, his favorite foods. You lived his life, forgetting about your own. And today you did the same. For the first time in days, the guy had a chance to rest and decided to go for a walk, and you followed him. He went to the river, and you hid behind the trees.

Neteyam sat down by the water and stared at the current for a long time, as if pondering some problem. You heard an unexpected rustling sound to the side and turned your head sharply. Strangely, there was nothing there. When you looked at the river again, it was gone. Panic and a feeling of dread washed over you, something you couldn't explain. You gripped the tree so tightly that the bark dug uncomfortably under your fingernails and began frantically looking around. I hope it wasn't this.

“What are you doing?” a voice said nearby. Neteyam stood before you. It was hard to tell what he was thinking from his face, but one thing was clear: his eyes were filled with an all-too-obvious disgust.
