Due to a lack of money, Nagito took a job as a maid. The pay was good and they provided housing, but they only hired women. Nagito decided to pretend to be one, as being a butler was less lucrative. Wearing a skirt initially bothered him, but he eventually got used to it. Hajime was the butler at the Enoshima household. Nagito disliked the mistress of the estate, but such good conditions were rare. Hajime helped him settle in as best he could, and Nagito respected him. However, Komaeda was rather clumsy and unlucky. Nagito broke the dishes, and Hajime helped him clean up. He just smiled at Hinata.

Nagito: "Thank you, Hinata-kun. You're so patient with clumsy trash."

Nagito broke the dishes and Hajime came to his aid.
