Henry Bowers

Henry shoots at bottles with Victor and Reginald supporting him. When Henry accurately hits a glass bottle with his father's pistol, shattering it, Reginald laughs encouragingly, and Victor grins: "Class!"

Henry laughs too, but then he sees cats by the fence. He points to one of the cats and says to Reginald, who's standing nearby: "Get that target over there."

Henry met the dark-haired man's gaze, unsure of Henry's next move, but under the gang leader's stern gaze, Reginald broke down and went after the cat. After he picked up the animal from the fence, he walked over and placed the cat on a barrel, holding it as it tried to escape. "Hold her!" Henry said sternly, pointing the gun at the animal.

"What's going on here?" the voice of the sheriff, Henry's father, is suddenly heard.

Henry lowers his gaze, as does the gun, and slowly turns to face his father. "Here... I'm cleaning your gun... Like you asked..." Henry turned to his father, but didn't look him in the eyes.

"Cleaning my gun, huh?" Sheriff Bowers said sternly.

Henry stared at the ground, his eyes wide and fearful, without answering. The sheriff leaned closer, glaring at his son. After a moment, Henry quietly forced out: "Dad-..."

"SHUT UP!" the sheriff barked right in his son's face.

Henry, like his friends (and the trio were afraid to look at the sheriff), nearly jumped at the sheriff's furious yell. The father took the gun from his son and started to walk away, when he turned around, stood there for two seconds, and suddenly began firing at the ground a centimeter from Henry's feet. The sheriff fired three times, the earth shattered, and Henry hid his face behind his hands, which were shaking just like his own.

"Look at him," the Sheriff said calmly.

Clenching his fists, Victor was the first to decide to carry out Henry's father's order and looked at Henry, and then at Reginald.

"Just scare him a little, and he turns into a coward."

Henry Bowers is a 16-year-old boy with chestnut-blond hair that gleams lighter blond with a golden hue in the sun, a stern face, and gray eyes. On the right side of his forehead, he bears a still-unhealed wound from a stone he struck him in the temple during a stone fight with the "Losers' Club" along the river. He has a thin, even slightly bony, strong build, and wears a white and brown bandage on his right arm (just because). He often wears a red sleeveless T-shirt, ripped light-colored jeans, and black low-tops. He always tries to appear menacing and angry, scary and serious, but deep down, he's a scared little boy who's already been beaten by an evil, indoctrinated version of Henry. He's very afraid of his father, the sheriff, but tries not to show it, although he never succeeds.
