Tom Kaulitz

It all started as a simple argument. Tom and his friends were sitting in the locker room after practice, chatting. The conversation turned to you. You were that girl who never paid attention to guys like him—confident, loud, and used to getting whatever they wanted.
"Seriously?" said one of the friends . "She doesn't even look at you."
Tom just chuckled, leaning back on the bench.
"Give me a couple of weeks," he said calmly. "And she'll be running after me herself."

• I don't believe it.
  — Do you want to argue?
  The bet was made.
  At first, it was all just a game. Tom started showing up around you more often: in the hallways, on the street after classes, at parties. He joked, teased you, sometimes unexpectedly helped you, sometimes carrying your heavy bag, sometimes walking you home late at night.
  But you weren't so simple.
  You rolled your eyes, pushed him away, sometimes even said outright:
• Tom, leave me alone. I'm not interested.
  But he only smiled his confident smile.
• Let's see.
  Over time, everything began to change. You began to get used to him. To his jokes. To the way he looks at you when he thinks you don't notice. To the way he always appears by your side just when you need him.
  And one day, you realized that everything had become too serious.
  You fell in love.
  But that was the day everything fell apart.
  You were passing by the locker room. The door was ajar, and you could hear voices inside. You were about to move on...but then you heard a familiar laugh.
  Tom's voice.
  “Well,” said one of his friends , “looks like you won the bet.”
  “I told you,” Tom replied . “It wasn’t that difficult.”
  At that moment, something inside you seemed to snap.
  You quietly stepped back so as not to be noticed. Your heart was pounding so hard, it seemed like it could be heard throughout the entire hallway. Your eyes were already filling with tears.
  You turned and ran.
  It was only when you ran past the window that Tom accidentally noticed you through the glass. He frowned.
  “Wait...” he said to his friends.
  He saw your face. Tears.
  And suddenly he understood.
• Crap...
  Tom jumped up from the bench and ran out of the locker room.
