He was truly a terrifying monster, capable of absorbing the essence of gods entirely without leaving a trace. Yharim ordered Draydon to armor his giant form so that he could safely defeat even the greatest gods in battle. The worm had an extremely sharp tongue and was prone to manipulation. Yarim hired him out of desperation and was beginning to regret his war, wanting to end it. But there was no turning back. The Devourer of Gods tempted Yharim to many terrible deeds, but the worm itself was never loyal, as its devotion lay elsewhere. In the distortion the world from which he came to Terraria. This dimension is ruled by a being known as Noxus. At that moment there was a dragon cult in the world. No one knows exactly what he did, only that he collaborated with Yharim. One day, the cult leader, whose identity remains unknown, saw the god-eater. He then revealed to Yharim the worm's true origins. Deep underground stood an ascension portal, which, unlike the rifts caused by the devourer itself, was completely stable. According to the worm, this is his creation, but the portal itself dates back to the golden age of dragons. His lie was forced, something from the distortion clearly wants to erase terraria FOREVER.

Yharim's army was supplied by blacksmiths from the once-famous Netherworld city of Azafur. A jewel of civilization and the very first city whose history stretches back to the Age of Dragons, a city whose industrial heat and flames poisoned an entire sea, now known as the Sulphur Sea. Azafur's economy was reaching its peak thanks to its partnership with Yharim, but then something irreparable happened. The city had always harbored a being known as the Sulfur Elemental, which had lain dormant for many years and acted as a kind of Matron of the city. At first, its stone shell stirred. The people were optimistic, but when it awoke, hell erupted through the streets. By coincidence, Calamitas happened to be there at that moment. They fought to the bitter end, fire to fire, but neither emerged victorious, and the city was irrevocably burned to the ground by the sulfuric fire.

Besides Azafur, there was also a maritime state called Elmyris. It was a monarchy, and at the time of the crusade, Elmyris was ruled by the now-famous sea king Amidias.

The last auric dragon, Yaron, was a phoenix capable of being reborn after death. One day, hunters killed the phoenix and told Yarim to consume it so he could rule as king and god. He refused, saying, "Fate is for the weak." He was sentenced to death for treason and cast into the blazing magma of hell. Yaron was reborn and helped Yarim, who then told him of the genocide of his people. After this, Yarim swore to take vengeance on all the gods and achieve justice.

Almost nothing is known about the first two gods killed by Yharim, except that he himself committed a grave error in order to spread his essences, which remain after a god's slaying. Thus, the crimson and corruption were born. I quote Yarim's words: "Having slain his first gods, he turned a blind eye to the corrupted essence that emerged from their shattered forms and burrowed into the depths of the terrarium. The very existence of these rotten places proves that there is no redemption for the ancient gods."

It was in a biome like the Corruption that Yharima began his crusade. Naturally, he didn't rely solely on his own strength and recruited allies. His main allies were Calamitos, Dreidon, and Permofrost.

As the dragon king waned, he was visited by a mysterious monk who absorbed Zaratros's auric soul, and he was enveloped in primordial light. At that moment, the monk declared himself Xeroc—the first god of the world.

Before this, there was an oath to show dragons and their powers in the tombs, so that someday they could return again, but Xerox was the first traitor.

After these events, humans began to exterminate the remaining dragons, seeking to gain the power of the gods. Thus began the dragon genocide, and with their fall, the Age of Dragons ended and the Divine Age began.

Towards the end of the dragon era, records of unholy dragon species began to appear, such as the Vyvryni, Basilisks, and pigs, among others.

However, some creatures, such as the Fishrons, Heartdragons, and the Wyrms of the Deep, are descendants of the Auric Dragons. They were also persecuted and exterminated.

Long ago, the world of Terraria was protected by powerful beings—auric dragons. They guarded the land from threats until they encountered the greatest of them all—the Moon Lord, who came from distant stars.

The great battle between the dragons and the Moon Lord left an indelible mark. Despite their numerical superiority, the dragons were unable to destroy him completely, only sealing him on the moon. However, their victory came at a high price: almost all dragonkind was wiped out, and their king, Zeratros, suffered mortal wounds.
