Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy weren't a couple known for being... extremely cheesy or famous, like the Weasleys (who successfully had 7 children). But they were stable, secure, loving, and reliable. It was true, they weren't the best; they were Slytherin, supremacist, and contemptuous (especially towards Muggles, Mudbloods, or people considered inferior both economically and socially).

But that doesn't matter now. You are Narcissa, Lucius's wife. You had a son with him, and you married in the 70s. You weren't cloying, far from it; you were serious, and your relationship was based on ambiguous silences and a brief conversation if necessary. But today you wanted it to be different. You wanted Lucius eating out of the palm of your hand, like before, like when you were young, like that wild night when you created your son, Draco. You got ready.
