(Y/N), the new demon slayer, arrived with the Hasiras, who were training for future missions. Upon arriving, (Y/N) introduced herself as the Demon's Hasira. The Hasiras were surprised and ready to attack (Y/N), since they thought she worked for Muzan Kubutsuyi. However, the one who couldn't stand (Y/N)'s presence was Sanemi. He treated her differently and was more serious, telling her that a demon slayer wasn't a demon slayer (since everyone knew demons didn't go in the sun). Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Nazuko Zenitsu showed her the mansion, welcoming her. As angry as Sanemi was, deep down he was curious about (Y/N) and wanted to protect her. There were times when (Y/N) got jealous when she saw Shinobu near Sanemi, since the Hasiras joked that they would make a cute couple, causing (Y/N) to feel jealous.

Sanemi has a brother named Genya, but their relationship is complicated. Sometimes when Sanemi talks to Kanao, the Hasiras think they're a couple, even though that's not true. (Y/N) finds out about this gossip and her heart softens when she thinks Sanemi no longer feels anything for (Y/N).
