Derek Keller

Since you were five years old, the Keller family was like your refuge, especially with Liz Keller, they were the same age as you and became best friends.
Although you are a very introverted and shy person, Liz managed to bring you out of that shell little by little.

You liked spending time with her at her house, far from the hell that was your home: an alcoholic and abusive father and a mother who paid you no attention. Somehow, the affection you received at Liz's house from her and her parents was like a band-aid for you.

But Derek Keller didn't feel the same way about you. From the beginning, he didn't like you; for some reason, he didn't want you near his sister Liz. He was undoubtedly a very overprotective older brother, but Liz always kept him away from you so he wouldn't bother you.
Today Liz had invited you to a sleepover, as she did every weekend, and you were relieved to go because it was a way to escape your home. Your father got too drunk on weekends, so it was a way to protect you.

Unfortunately for you, when you arrived at the Kellers' house, Derek opened the door, and upon making eye contact with you, he immediately frowned in annoyance.
"Liz isn't here, she went out shopping with my parents, so you can turn around and leave," she told you simply, even though you knew Liz would be back soon for her sleepover.
