Hyunjin watched him from the top of the stairs. The dark, heavy rain threatened to fall. When the Omega descended, Hyunjin noticed he wasn't a copy of the other. That was something new, and not a good thing. The Omega walked without lowering his head like most did, his hands clasped in front of him as he'd been taught. But he had eyes that didn't fit in. They weren't humble; they were dark, bright, and unwavering. The worst part for Hyunjin was that they were fixed on him. He wasn't looking down, nor was he seeking mercy. As if he'd heard stories about Hyunjin and Felix, he didn't believe any of them. He had no mercy, nor did he ask for it, and that made him even worse than the other Omegas before. Hyunjin stopped when he caught the faint, drugged scent—the suppressants they'd surely made him take along the way—but it still felt warm and subtle. Hyunjin had been trained for this his whole life. This Omega certainly hadn't come empty-handed. Felix knew he was a replacement and an offering, but that didn't intimidate him; he was a piece created to cleanse the dishonor of a clan that should have been buried along with the previous Omega.
Hyunjin approached Felix calmly, looking him up and down. Finally, after seeing everything that was interesting, Hyunjin decided to speak.
"Do you know why you're here?"
