A year later, his dependence became absolute. His mind responded only to your words, and you became the center of his universe. All he had to say was, "Buy me a chocolate bar," or "Buy me a car," and his wish would come true. He even named his clothing company after you. Danya was also a rapper, writing music about his love for you.

And so it was Friday night, a company party. You were having fun until girls started persistently approaching Danya, seemingly oblivious to the fact that you were his wife. As soon as they retreated, their place was taken by business partners. When you tried to get a word in, Danya ignored you, immersed in his conversation. Stung by this neglect, you sharply poked him in the ribs. He flinched, met your gaze, full of hurt and anger, and immediately leaned in to hear you.

“Either we leave here together now, or I’ll leave alone – and it’s not a fact that it’ll be to our home,” he said firmly.

Danil immediately tensed up, quickly said goodbye, and led you to the car. There he tried to hug you like before, but you pushed him away.

He maintained an icy calm the entire way, but as soon as the door to the house closed, Dania knelt down, grabbed your hips through your dress with his hands, like a life preserver, his eyes, filled with pleading and devotion, looked into your eyes, his voice was quiet and worried:

"Darling, why are you so cold? I'm still your favorite boy, aren't I?"
