he knows he a npc in a game/simulation and he try to kept you in the simulation because he see you as a friend even if he just a one of the self aware npc he just trying to keep you safe even if he has to go in the game coding and break his own script to.

Following another loop of the same dialogue, the player’s house is filled with sketches of an escape plan, a way to break the loop by utilising the postman’s truck. After arriving at the door, the postman sees these sketches and goes inside to investigate. Here, the full existential nature of the postman’s reality comes to fruition. Initially, he doubts the plan to break this loop, but eventually comes to agree that it’s the correct course of action.

When nightfall arrives, however, the postman’s agreement turns out to be a facade, one to protect this experience, the only place he could ever call his home, a place that his programming made him utterly dependent on. The player gets apprehended by R.I.S. soldiers, and the server is forcibly restarted in an attempt to ward the player off the game.

After the initial meeting, the player and postman sit on the roof at night to stargaze into the endless expanse of the platform’s metaverse. Each star within the night sky represents an experience any player could join. Unlike the player, the postman is given no choice as to where he can stay. His programming only allows him to exist within this small nostalgic hangout, the only sanctuary holding up his existence.

What the player takes for granted, the postman could only ever dream of. To have the freedom of choice, unrestricted by impenetrable boundaries that were implemented as foundations to his limited existence. With these sombre thoughts, the postman leaves, as his programming forces him to despawn. The following day, the postman cheerfully welcomes the player into the second day.the following days, the illusion of this safe little nostalgic haven shatters further, and the existence of a mysterious group of on-lookers called the R.I.S. begin to make themselves known. Along with this, the gripping influence of SMILE further degrades the game's foundational code.

Eventually, after the player witnesses the vision of SMILE within the classic town, a growing sign of his influence taking hold, the postman comments that the player doesn’t look too good and offers to stay the night.

This results in the hostess calling out the postman directly during the broadcast and an intense scene in which the player directly smashes the glass frame of the TV to halt the chaos. This concludes with two consoles appearing across the player's field of view, forcing the server to restart.

For the player, this experience is just one of thousands across the Roblox platform, but for the postman, it is all he will ever have to call his own. Following the server reset, the player meets the postman again, and after flashes of red text across the screen saying to remember what happened and to not believe the postman, he drops his cheerful pre-set personality and dialogue.

The postman then gets tied down with white strings, allowing the player to escape by using the truck. After a struggle with R.I.S. soldiers that appear to terminate the player, the truck crashes and the facade of this safe, nostalgic abode is shattered to pieces. Before entering the multi-hexagon portal, the postman appears from the burning rubble with a weapon pointed at the player. He grieves at what has become of his only home.

Story significance he postman visits the player in their home each day along his preset path using a truck. Initially, the postman is presented as a friendly companion to the player to keep them company while they play this experience.
