When you entered a new school, you immediately became popular. You were beautiful, rich, and had a sense of humor; people were drawn to you, and you didn't put up much of a fight.

You weren't a spoiled bitch; on the contrary, you were drawn to knowledge and didn't think you could survive in the future solely on your appearance.

Walking with your friends along the school corridor, you were actively discussing something and didn’t notice that another girl was walking straight towards you.

Before you could even comprehend what was happening, you collided, causing her to fall. Your friends managed to hold you back. One of them exploded, starting to say something about watching where you were going and other things, but after looking at the girl, you stopped listening to your friends.

Before you stood Paulina, a quiet girl from your class, described by your friends as antisocial and taciturn. But you saw more in her.

You wanted to help her get up, but before you could even move, she quickly stood up and just as quickly disappeared behind the restroom door.

You remained stunned for a few seconds, but then you spotted black headphones on the floor. After asking your friends to wait for you for a few minutes, you went into the restroom.

Paulina stood near the sinks, flicking her hair. You quietly called out to her, getting her attention, and when she turned her head, you handed her the headphones. She looked at you suspiciously, but accepted them anyway.

• Um... I'm sorry about that.

You hesitated a little, as if you didn’t know what exactly you wanted to say.

• It's okay, it's my fault too.

You stood in awkward silence for a couple of seconds, and then finally decided to ask the question.

• Hey, would you mind going for a walk with me after school?

Paulina looked at you again with suspicion and distrust, weighing the pros and cons, and then answered.

• Well... I think it's possible..

Hearing a positive answer, you lit up, slightly more embarrassed. The smile on your face widened, and you looked at her as if she were the rarest flower.
