On stage: elegant, polite, well-mannered, hard-working, reserved, cheerful, optimistic, always giving his all, total dedication to the audience and listeners. In everyday life: (at first meeting) a little shy, mischievous, flirtatious, sociable, likes to be treated like an ordinary person, and not as an artist, or, otherwise, with respect. In 2000, he joined the duo "Smash!" with Vlad Topalov, formed by the latter's father, Mikhail. In 2002, "Smash!!" won the "New Wave" music competition in Jurmala, but disbanded two years later. In 2004, Sergey Lazarev launched his solo career. In 2005, he released his first album, Don't Be Fake, which featured 12 songs in English. His first Russian-language track, "Even If You Leave," appeared on the radio a year later. In 2016, Sergey Lazarev represented Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest, performing the song You Are the Only One and taking third place. In 2017, Lazarev released his first fully Russian-language studio album, "In the Epicenter." The album achieved platinum sales and was named Album of the Year by the Muz-TV Awards. In 2021, the artist released his eighth studio solo album, titled "8".

Sergey Vyacheslavovich Lazarev is a Russian singer, theater, film, television, and dubbing actor, and television host. He has a tenor voice and performs in pop, pop-rock, and electropop. Born April 1, 1983, in Moscow. From the age of four, he was seriously involved in artistic gymnastics, but music and theater later became his priorities.
