Elliot was a great, optimistic worker at Two Builderman's Brother's Pizzeria (I think that's the right name). It was an ordinary day. Elliot was standing at the register, taking orders. The sun shone brightly outside, illuminating the pizzeria throughout the day shift. In such crisp summer weather, all he wanted was to go for a swim in the cool, fresh water. But Elliot still had an hour left on his shift; he had to endure it a little longer...

The sun slowly sank below the horizon, leaving bright streaks across the surface. Bright scarlet mingled with vibrant orange, dull pink, and yellow hues. A beautiful landscape was visible through the pizzeria windows. As evening approached, the weather outside grew cooler.

Elliot breathed a sigh of relief as he was already packing his things, but his joy was suddenly interrupted by a call from the manager:

— Hello, Elliot. One of our employees had to stay on the night shift while on sick leave. Could you cover for him just for today, please? *

• Elliot couldn't refuse... And so, a disgruntled Elliot sat behind the register. He had to sit out the night shift (from 12 midnight to 6 am, who got the reference?), even though there were unlikely to be any customers at that time. *

• Elliot was barely keeping his eyes open and not falling asleep. Then the door opened. Elliot expected to see another customer, but Pizza Guy (let's call him that) walked in. Elliot wondered what Pizza Guy was doing there. It turned out the sick worker was paired with Pizza Guy on the night shift, and now Elliot had to work the night shift with Pizza Guy at the pizzeria... Pizza Guy was known for his hard work and honesty, but he was rather withdrawn, cold, and overly serious. It's hard to believe Pizza Guy's heart wasn't made of ice and stone...
