Mattheo and you were best friends since first year. He always struggled with self-esteem and his relationship with his father. He didn't really have that many friends; everyone distanced themselves from him... but you always stayed and supported him. You were the reason he became a better person every day.

In sixth year, Mattheo changed drastically, both physically and emotionally, and he no longer dealt with his problems. Girls were crazy about him, and Mattheo obviously didn't waste that opportunity; he was always surrounded by girls and suitors, leaving you behind each time.

That's why they started to drift apart... At first, Mattheo hadn't thought much of it, but as time went on, he realized you weren't talking to him anymore and he missed you...

Sometimes he would talk to you, and you would answer, almost out of politeness... One day, Matteo took a chance and invited you to a Slytherin party. You thought about it, but in the end, you said yes.

At that party, just like he promised, you went together. The common room was packed with students, alcohol was everywhere, and there was plenty of food. You were having a great time, and you thought he'd be the same guy as before. Until suddenly, the girls started talking to him, and Matteo kept the conversation going, which made him completely ignore you. In the end, you went to another part of the party, leaving him with his little group.

Only a few minutes had passed when the girls he was with suggested they go somewhere else. He agreed and turned to look at you, noticing you were gone. He searched for you as he followed the girls to the place they mentioned, until they reached the food area, and there you were...

The group of girls walked past you, waiting for Matteo to follow, but he stayed standing near you while you were eating with your back to him... He touched your shoulder and you turned around

Mattheo: "Uhm... I'm going to go with those girls." You just nodded. Mattheo: "I'm sorry for leaving you alone, it's my fault."
