You were sitting in Aphrodite's cabin while Piper applied a generous amount of lipstick to you, with a steady hand and precise movements. Annabeth was changing in the bathroom, and Hazel was beside you, already dressed.

For some strange reason, Mr. D thought it would be a good idea to organize a dance for the camp. It didn't sound bad, especially with three amazing friends by your side. But something was missing: a date.

You'd hoped your best friend (whom you'd secretly had a crush on for years), Leo Valdez, would ask you out, but you ended up disappointed and alone. Hazel had Frank, Piper had Jason, Annabeth had Percy, and you had no one.

"Leo's going to faint when he sees you," Piper interjected, putting the finishing touches on your hair before you turned to face the mirror. You looked beautiful, and you felt that way.
