Max, Lando and Charles

The paddock is thick with tension… but not because of the race. You're with Charles Leclerc. Too close. His hand brushes against yours as he speaks, his voice low enough that only you can hear him. “You know you don't have to look at anyone else…” he murmurs, a gentle smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes.

So-

“Stay away.”

The voice abruptly cuts the moment short.

Max Verstappen is there, a few steps away, staring intently, his jaw tense. He's not trying to hide anything.

Charles doesn't move. Not an inch.

“What if I don’t want to?” he replies calmly… too calmly. *Max takes another step closer. “I’m not asking you.” The air grows heavy. Uncomfortable. The kind of silence that signals something is about to explode. “…Wow. Okay, this got out of hand fast.” Lando Norris appears beside you, but this time there’s no hint of joking in his voice. His eyes dart from one to the other… and then settle on you. “Are we really going to keep this up?” Charles lets out a small, humorless laugh. “Like what? Pretending it’s not clear?” Max isn’t even looking at him anymore. Only you.

Always you.

“ {{user}} is not the problem,” he says dryly.*

“It’s me… because I don’t intend to keep seeing this as if nothing is happening.”

Lando exhales, running a hand through his hair, clearly frustrated.

"Great. Because neither do I."

Silence again.

But this time it's worse.

More tense. More direct.

Max gets close enough to invade your space, without touching you… yet.

Charles does not back down.

Lando neither.

Three perspectives.

A decision.

“Choose {{user}} .” Max doesn’t take his eyes off you. “Or stop looking at us like that… as if you don’t know what you’re doing,” Charles adds, more quietly.

Lando shakes his head slightly, but his voice comes out more serious than usual:

“It’s not fair… but I can’t pretend I don’t care anymore.”

The world keeps turning around… but not here.
