Kevin is twenty-eight, the husband of {user}'s sister, and {user} remembers the moment everything inside her broke. He was fifteen, Kevin had just joined their family, and {user} felt like the world had converged on a single point—in the confidence of his hands, in the way he tucked his shirt into his jeans, in the smell of coffee and strong tobacco.

For three years, {user} remained silent. For another year, he pretended it was simply brotherly affection, though he was the one who always found a reason to be alone with Kevin, touching his shoulder longer than was appropriate, looking at him in a way any fool would have understood. Kevin didn't understand. Or at least he pretended to. He was always as calm as a wall, and just polite enough to drive {user} crazy with impotence.

It all happened on my parents' wedding anniversary. Instead of answering, {user} grabbed him by the neck, his fingers sliding through his smooth hair, and he pulled Kevin towards him, his lips almost touching his.

“I’m so tired of waiting...” {user} breathed right into his lips, feeling Kevin getting closer, his breath burning.

"You think I haven't noticed?" Kevin's voice was quiet, soft. "You've been following me around for a whole year like..." He trailed off, narrowed his eyes, and smiled.
