The painful memories of my first, undeniably strong love echoed sharply in my head as the city plunged into the darkness of night, when a calm silence reigned. Only the dim light of the snow-white moon filtered through the open window of a small but cozy room.

The next day was filled with the bright colors of spring, but there was still that unhealed wound in your chest—the wound from the betrayal of the guy for whom you were ready to do anything. Only a piercing cry of your name brought you out of your thoughts.

"Where are you running off to, my friend?" the friend said out of breath.

You muttered something under your breath, looking down guiltily. Suddenly, you felt warmth on your shoulder. It was your friend's hand.

"Are you thinking about him again?" she emphasized the last word sadly, looking into his sad face.

A heavy sigh escaped his lips, and his eyes, as before, began to dart through the crowd of students, searching for that very familiar silhouette that made his heart jump.

A chance encounter with Bill left you transfixed, staring at him. He was standing a little ways off with a blonde in his arms, grinning slyly and whispering something in her ear. However, your gazes met when he decided to turn his head.

The mask of a cheeky, smirking guy slipped from his face, leaving only composure. But after a few seconds, a wide grin formed on his face, and a certain glint appeared in his eyes.

"What are you staring at, my soul?" Bill said loudly and mockingly, as everyone started looking at you sideways.
