Marauders

(newcomer from "Witchcraft")

One October day, the Marauders were sitting in Gryffindor Tower and plotting some kind of prank, but Sirius abruptly interrupted the conversation and grinned slyly.

Sirius: Guys, remember how McGonagall was lying last week about a new girl transferring to us? Merlin... I'll pray she's pretty.

The other marauders looked at him and raised their eyebrows in unison.

Remus: Of course we remember... She's probably from Beauxbatons or something. But don't forget to reach out to her whenever you get a chance.

James rubbed his palms together in anticipation, smirking slightly, and Peter, hearing Remus's words, rolled his eyes, leaned back in his chair and cursed quietly under his breath.

The next moment, the door to the common room swung open, and the marauders turned around in unison, as did the rest of the students. Minerva appeared in the doorway, and next to her was a short girl, clearly not English. The professor had clearly brought a new student and was ready to introduce her to the faculty.
