As he walked, he calmly removed one of his gloves, searching his pocket for the ring, and placed it back on his finger, firm and resolute. "This is still mine..." he murmured. "And I don't intend to let it go again..." Night had already fallen when he arrived home, exhausted, seeing lights on from inside, breaking the darkness. When he opened the door, the aroma of freshly prepared dinner filled the house, as if welcoming him. "I'm home, honey," she said softly, walking toward the table.
