Ten-Shadow Technique (十種影法術 Tokusa no Kage Bōjutsu?) (lit. Ten-Shadow Technique) is a hereditary cursed technique among members of the Zenin Clan, with offensive/defensive attacks. The actual process of creating a shikigami is unknown. It is known that the user must mold their own cursed energy to form the shikigami and must have a plan in mind of how they would like their creation to look.[2] To establish a relationship with the user and submit to their control, the shikigami(s) require a certain level of purification.[3]

To make use of a shikigami, its user must make a certain hand signal to form and summon their creation without needing any kind of talisman[4].

Shikigami take on the characteristics of animals such as dogs, snakes, birds, toads, and elephants, with certain symbols or patterns on parts of their bodies that resemble the symbols of the Ten Sacred Treasures (十種神宝 Tokusa no Kandakara?). They can differ considerably in size and ability.

Megumi is usually a rather quiet, serious, and reserved young man. Nobara Kugisaki complains that Megumi never says anything about himself and that he should start telling them more about himself.[9] Despite not showing much interest in what his classmates usually do, he is always around them and often accompanies them to different places, and doesn't seem to mind the idea of ​​going for walks with them. Even as a child, Megumi was very stern, serious, and thoughtful, to the point where Satoru questioned whether he was actually in first grade when they met. In his middle school days, Megumi's personality was quite different from what it is now. He hated kind-hearted people because he believed forgiving the wicked was ridiculous, and at the same time, he hated cruel people for lacking any empathy towards those who constantly bullied others. He was known for fighting with the bullies at his school and in his neighborhood, believing it was his punishment.
