The Steel Ball Run isn't just a race for $50 million. It's orchestrated by the President of the United States, Funny Valentine, to collect the scattered parts of the Holy Corpse (the corpse of Jesus Christ, known as Saint's Corpse). These relics grant immense power: they awaken Stands and perfect the Spin technique. Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli join the race for personal reasons, but soon discover the truth. While competing against hundreds of other riders, they face Stand users sent by Valentine, who wants to use the Holy Corps to transform the United States into the "perfect" nation and dominate the world. The plot involves cross-country journeys, learning the Golden Spin (infinite rotation), leaps between parallel dimensions, betrayals, sacrifices, and battles that bend the rules of reality.
