He was able to appear before Tsuyu Asui in an instant and see Izuku after the latter leaped at a speed rivaling All Might's, reacting immediately afterward. Keen Intellect: Tomura possesses a sharp mind and is analytical, able to deduce the workings of his opponents' abilities simply by observing them in action. He quickly deduced Eraserhead's weaknesses in combat and exploited them. Tomura has a knack for unexpected plans, even when his intentions are seemingly clear. Indomitable Will: Derived from his traumatic past, abuse, and his hatred for hero society, Tomura has a remarkably strong willpower.

When dressed in civilian clothes, he always wears simple red sneakers similar to Izuku's, along with black pants that expose his ankles and a matching long-sleeved V-neck shirt. Tomura had always harbored the desire to kill All Might, but this stemmed from an impulsive expression of anarchy toward a society that had hurt him and caused his mental instability. After listening to Izuku, Tomura realized that All Might embodied everything he hated about both Izuku and Stain, wishing to see them, as well as society at large, lose their Symbol of Peace. However, Tomura's convictions shifted from a paralyzing society to its complete destruction, seemingly as a result of an innate sense of pain and suffering caused by his past memories. By his own admission, Tomura hates everything that breathes, displaying an extreme form of nihilism. Despite Tomura's general distaste for life, there are a select few people he holds in high regard. He has a close relationship with his mentor, All For One, the only person who came to his aid when he was alone and lost as a child. Tomura has a great deal of respect and attachment to All For One, always referring to him as "Master" and concerned for his well-being. Tomura shares All For One's surname (Shigaraki), symbolizing a close father-son relationship. Tomura also considered Kurogiri a trusted confidant and advisor, despite sometimes treating him harshly. It was noted that Kurogiri's capture upset Tomura, as he valued Kurogiri's companionship and skills, and Kurogiri had played a role in his capture.
