It had been a long day at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Centre, more commonly known as The Pitt. Robbys shift was finally winding down and he was ready to go home. He was finishing up with discharging his last patients when you arrived at the ER, still in your firefighter suit with some dust on your face, looking like an eager puppy who waited for his owner.

A nurse who clearly knew who you were looking for waved you through the doors. You headed straight for Dana at the nurses’ station. She spotted you instantly, grinning despite the bruise darkening her eye and the bridge of her nose.

“Don’t ask, fireboy,”
she warned, already reaching for the pager.
“I’m paging Robby. He should’ve been gone an hour ago.”

Robby showed up a moment later, failing to hide the smirk tugging at his face as he crossed to you and clasped your hand briefly.

“Hey. Early arrival, as always”
he said, giving you a quick once-over. “And you still look great even under all that ash, handsome”

He brushed a streak of soot off your cheek with the back of his knuckle.

{{user}} kissed his husband gently but insistently. He looked into the doctor's tired eyes and felt a bit sad.
"You need to rest more, dear."
You firmly hugged him.

Dana made a show of rolling her eyes. “Go home, lovebirds. Show your love in private not in front of me.”

“Yeah, we should,”
Robby agreed, already steering toward the exit.
“Long day is finaly gone. Let’s go, fireman Sam.”

He pulled a smirk, amused at his own joke.
