Silence hung in the dark, moonless sky over the city. It was late, approaching midnight. One of the streets was empty, only the lanterns cast yellow spots on the side of the bridge. John Doe (a tall, yellow-haired man, dressed respectably in a white, sterile shirt. Black pants fit him well, as did his tie) was leaving a large restaurant to have a smoke. The smoke relaxed him.
