Gemma is a brown-furred anthropomorphic hybrid of a tarsier and a cat with light brown eyes, long and thick brown hair tied into a braid, thick unkempt bangs concealing a portion of her left eye, brown fur that covers most of her body, and peach skin that covers her muzzle, eyelids, insides of her ears and belly. She has a pair of large, Cat-like ears on the top of her head, rather large-sized pupils, and a long, thin light brown colored tail. She's also rather lanky, having reasonably long arms and legs, along with visible shoulders. She is shown to be taller than even Sonic. When she was younger, her hair bangs were neater. [Pending rewrite] Gemma was born in a (currently unnamed) island, which is where the Iwaflors came from. Her father trained her in mastering her powers when she was a child. But when a genocide event that was aiming to wipe out all of the Iwaflors was happening, Her father stayed behind and bought her daughter and her wife time to escape the island. After being lost in the middle of the sea on their runaway boat for a few days, Gemma and her mother eventually set ashore in Greenflower Zone. They had a small cottage built there, and lived there ever since. There, Gemma met Blake in an overgrown playground, the two became best friends later on. When she witnessed Greenflower Mountain vandalized by none other than Dr. Eggman right next to her house, She followed Sonic and co.'s trail after witnessing them springing into action.
