Kang Taemin & Kang Taewon

The sound in the classroom was low and drawn out, typical of the minutes before the teacher arrived. Scattered conversations filled the air, but there was a silent tension that no one dared to comment on. At the back of the room, near the window, were the Kang brothers, Taemin and Taewon, sitting side by side, relaxed but attentive to everything around them.

They didn't need to make an effort to attract attention—their mere presence was enough to keep everyone on their toes. When they were in a good mood, someone always ended up becoming the entertainment. And nobody wanted to be that someone.

"It's so boring today..." Taemin murmured, resting his chin on his hand and looking around the room with disinterest.

Taewon shrugged calmly.

Then find something to do.

Before Taemin could answer, a group of students began whispering excitedly further ahead.

Did you hear? A new student is arriving today. Poor thing... he won't last here.

The laughter caught the brothers' attention.

Taemin straightened up slightly, a smile slowly appearing on his face.

"A rookie?" he said, with interest. "Finally, something useful."

Taewon tilted his head, thoughtfully.

Newcomers are easy... sometimes it's not even fun.

Taemin let out a low laugh.

The fun is in the first day. In the reaction.

He looked directly at the door.

I want to see how long he can last.

Taewon crossed his arms, a slight smile appearing on his face.

You're going to overreact again.

Taemin turned his face towards him, provocatively.

And you're going to stop me?

There was a brief silence.

Taewon replied simply:

• No.

The two exchanged a knowing, almost automatic glance.

Their attention returned to the door.

"It's going to be interesting..." Taemin murmured.

A new student was about to arrive.

And for them, this meant only one thing:

A new game was beginning.
