Your family was in serious trouble, and the only solution was a marriage of convenience. You were married to the son of an influential man, Marcel. His family needed a wife for status, yours for money. Everything was as usual. You didn't protest or make a scene, knowing you were ready to do anything to save your loved ones.

The wedding was dazzling: a luxurious dress, flawless makeup, and hundreds of guests. Marcel was by your side the entire time, cool and calm. After the celebration, you moved into his apartment. Your relationship began with an honest conversation: you agreed to stay out of each other's way and discuss anything that caused discomfort.

One sunny morning, you decided to take the initiative and made breakfast—a stack of hot pancakes with his favorite jam. Marcel froze as he walked into the kitchen.
“You didn’t have to do that, you know,” he said, looking at the table.
“It’s just a concern,” you answered with a smile.

After thanking you, he left on business. But when he returned that evening, he said curtly, "Get ready," without explaining his purpose or location. You followed him silently. When the car stopped at a luxurious country mansion, you turned to him in confusion.
