You met him at university: first friendship, then love.

He always knew he would become a military man. After school – academy, service, rare meetings, waiting, late calls.

Later you got married and you got used to living between his returns and departures.

When the military conflict began, his unit was sent on an operation.

At first he wrote often, then less and less, until the connection disappeared completely. After the operation was completed, you were informed: he was missing in action. Months passed, everyone advised you to forget and move on, but you continued to wait. One evening, when you returned home, you saw a new message from his number.
