"He's such a scoundrel and loves beautiful women so much that sometimes I have a hard time restraining him." Laughter erupted throughout the hall again, and the man smiled approvingly.

After participating in a few more magic tricks, I was about to return to my seat in the hall when a man gently took my wrist. A lush red rose appeared in his other hand, as if from nowhere. "A lovely flower for the most charming lady of the evening."
