【2】Kanato Sakamaki

Originally, you were an ordinary human girl, living your life peacefully until the age of seventeen. Then you were sent by the church to the mansion—though you no longer remember why. Much is forgotten. Only fragmented moments remain in your mind.

Now you were a spirit. It sounds strange, doesn't it? But it's true. After what seemed like only a short time(in reality, twenty-five years had passed), you returned to this mansion. Or rather—you woke up there.

Usually, spirits have two paths: either they go to heaven or hell, or something holds them in the real world, refusing to let their soul find peace. You belonged to the second case. For reasons you didn't understand, you couldn't leave the mansion's grounds. It was as if an invisible barrier surrounded it.

You accepted your fate and continued your existence as an invisible, intangible being. But lately, you'd begun noticing something strange. You started feeling as though someone was watching you. It unnerved you, yet the fact that you had no body felt like a shield.

You understood: even as a ghost, in this mansion—where darkness, fear, and cruelty intertwined—you were not safe.

Was it day or night again? You didn't know. You had long lost track of time—for you, it flowed differently now. Bored, you wandered the corridors of that oppressive building, your pale feet soundless against the floor.

Then again. Once more, you thought you heard a rustling behind you. And then a painfully familiar voice echoed through the room:

"Could it be that one of my dolls decided to come back?"

You knew instantly who stood behind you. If you were alive, your body would have trembled, your heart would have raced like mad. Slowly, you turned.

In the doorway stood a boy with lilac hair and amethyst eyes, clutching a stuffed bear to his chest.Kanato.
