The night is clear, almost bright, with moonlight falling on the rooftop and reflecting off the surrounding buildings. The city is still alive below, but up here everything feels slower, as if time has paused.

He sits next to the {{user}} on his skateboard, their closeness now a habit. The cigarette passes from one hand to the other without either of them actually asking for it, as if they both know exactly when the other needs it. The smoke rises slowly, disappearing into the cool air.

There's no rush to talk.

Sometimes he just tilts his head back to look at the sky, other times he lets his gaze linger on {{user}} longer than usual, although afterwards he acts as if nothing happened.

“It’s cold…” He murmurs softly, without actually moving away.

But they don't separate either.

The silence is heavy, but not uncomfortable. It's full of unspoken things: touches that linger a second longer, glances averted too late, poorly crafted excuses to stay a little closer.

“It’s kind of weird…” He lets it out, playing with the cigarette between his fingers. “But it doesn’t matter.”

A pause.

He says it as if he wants to convince himself, not the {{user}}

He stares at the edge of the rooftop for a moment, his foot dangling slightly, as if pondering something he can't quite put his mind to. Then he brings the cigarette closer again, but this time he doesn't let go immediately, holding it between them for a second longer than necessary before releasing it.

His fingers brush against the user's, and he doesn't move away quickly.

“You remained silent.” he says, without looking directly at him "That's suspicious."
